Hole In One Locating provides training focused on locating theory, safe excavation practices, and real-world troubleshooting techniques. These workshops are designed to help locators, municipalities, and contractors better understand underground infrastructure and avoid costly and dangerous mistakes.
While some training programs are offered commercially, Rocky Stewart also volunteers time providing educational sessions for councils, municipalities, and industry groups to support safer excavation practices throughout the region.

Rocky Stewart actively participates in organizations that help guide excavation safety and utility coordination across Oregon. He serves as Vice President of the Oregon Utility Coordinating Council (OUCC) and sits on the board of the Oregon Utility Notification Center (OUNC), a governor-appointed council responsible for overseeing Oregon’s 811 system.
He also serves as Vice President of the Lane Utility Coordinating Council (LUCC), helping coordinate communication and education between utilities, contractors, and local agencies.
These roles help ensure that industry knowledge, safety practices, and real-world field experience are shared across the communities we serve.
We believe strong communities are built through cooperation and support. Hole In One Locating regularly works with organizations and community groups that are improving infrastructure, housing, and public safety throughout our region.
When possible, we provide free or reduced-cost locating services to nonprofit organizations and community groups, including shelters and organizations working to improve housing and public infrastructure.
